LGBTQ+ Grief Resources

Grief in the LGBTQ+ community carries extra layers: chosen family who may not be recognized by law or blood, estrangement from families of origin, loss of partners or friends during the AIDS crisis, and a world that still sometimes fails to honor your love or your loss. You may have to fight to have your grief seen as legitimate. It is. Your love was real, your loss is real, and there are resources built by and for people who understand your story.
