Community Tragedy and Mass Violence
When violence or tragedy strikes a community, grief is shared and personal at once — you may be mourning people you loved while also carrying the shock, fear, and disbelief of the whole community around you. The public nature of the loss can feel overwhelming: cameras, vigils, and news cycles that reopen the wound, followed by a world that moves on while you are still standing in the aftermath. You do not have to grieve this alone, and you do not have to grieve it fast.
